Biography:
Doug is currently the Technical Group Supervisor of the RF Radar Electronics Group in Radar Science and Engineering Section. He has 24 years of hardware design, test and packaging in both R & D and Flight Environments. Doug has also technically managed multiple flight subsystem contracts for the Aquarius and OSTM / WSOA missions.
Doug joined JPL in 1991 where he worked developing RF synthesizer subsystems for the SETI Project (Search for Extra-Terrestial Intelligence). His experience at JPL includes RF/Microwave/Millimeter wave electronic hardware design in utilizing surface mount and hybrid topolgies in microstrip, CPW and waveguide structures. He has worked on numerous RF signal processing, high power and optical R &TD projects, in addtion to multiple DSN and JPL flight programs.
Prior to joining JPL, Doug was a Senior RF Design Engineer at AIL Inc., developing RF/Microwave hardware for Military threat warning systems
Education:
M.S. in Electrical Engineering (2003) from the University of Southern California.
B.S. in Electrical and Computer engineering (1984) for California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
